  • While using your insurance is a great way to keep therapy affordable and accessible, there are some considerations to keep in mind:

    • Insurance companies require the therapist to make a diagnosis in order for you to receive coverage for therapy services. At Well Harbor Therapy you can expect a collaborative effort between yourself and your therapist in this process.

    • Couples therapy is usually NOT covered by insurance.

    • Deductibles and copays are determined by your individual insurance plan, not by Well Harbor Therapy.

Out-of-Network

You may be eligible to have 50% - 80% of your costs covered by your out-of-network benefits.

  • We get it, insurance and all the terminology is confusing. “Out-of-network” means that Well Harbor is not partnered with your insurance. The good news is that many plans offer benefits for care you might seek with out-of-network providers.

    1. Superbill Submission Made Simple
      Enroll in Well Harbor’s no-stress superbill submission program. We use Mentaya to help you submit claims to your insurance for potential reimbursement—without the hassle.

    2. Need-Based Sliding Scale
      Therapy should be accessible. Apply for Well Harbor’s sliding scale, with rates ranging from $80 to $130 per session. Limited slots available.

    3. Use Your Health Savings Account (HSA)
      We accept payments through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), making it easier to use pre-tax funds for your care.

  • Use the Mentaya OON Benefits Calculator below or call the number on the back of your health insurance card and ask for “member services. Be sure to ask these questions to verify out-of-network coverage:

    • Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health services provided through telehealth?

    • What is my yearly out-of-network deductible? Has it been met or how much more until my deductible is met?

    • How many sessions per year does my plan cover?

    • How much does my insurance plan reimburse for an out-of-network provider for CPT code 90837?

    • Do I have a copay?

    • Do I need prior authorization for therapy services?

    • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
